Scott Macdonald is a designer and sculptor living in the Columbia River Gorge. He has been partnering with Rebecca Bashara for the past 15 years, making jewelry.
The focus of his work is on the relationship between the natural and built worlds, how society and nature interact. Exploring the perception of nature in industrialized societies, and how his art can feed a narrative that re-connects people to our planets ecosystems.
“Using found stones in my jewelry is a way to reflect the natural world within an intimate, everyday object. Creating a small connection to the planet”.
He is directing his creativity toward more distributed platforms and mediums, to contribute to social change through art and collaboration.
